The CrowdBlink app that is used for cashless purchases has extensive security features to keep payments secure.
Once you have a verified CrowdBlink app account, your identity in the app is represented by a dynamic QR code. If you don’t feel comfortable making payments using the app there is a button right underneath the QR code that you can use to Enable and Disable QR Code payment. If you do feel comfortable using the QR code, a virtual certificate is generated, encrypted, and attached to the dynamic QR code. This code can only be scanned by a device operating the CB OS app that is logged into a vending location to make a payment. This will confirm that its validity is verified for cashless purchases on-site once a payment method has been saved as default.
The payment method in the app is replaced by a secure representative encrypted token, which is used for transactions. In the event a token is obtained by a third party they will lack the security controls to decrypt the token, making your payments less susceptible to fraud.
